Last week we celebrated International Day at school. Everyone came dressed in their national clothing, and we had a big outdoor assembly to kick off the event. Students created a parade of nations and pranced around the dewy field. We watched various cultural dances and performances (2 of my students were dancers!), and visited a plethora of booths that offered information, snacks, and goodies from the many nations represented in our school population. The kids had little "passports" they carried around with them to collect stamps at facts about the different country booths they visited. A fun, full day of things to see and do... I was exhausted by the time 3:00 rolled around!

High-fives with Mr. Marshall are so much fun!
*Mr. Marshall is not from Oman. He just felt like rockin' the dish dash =).

Mr. Mechanical Bull even made an appearance!

What an awesome event for the children! I'm sure it will remain in their memories for a long time. The colours of all the different national costumes are beautiful. Lovely photographs too! Sarah x
