How true those verses are- that song had a whole new meaning to us this year! We could barely contain our excitement to see our friends and family during the 30+ hour flight home this Christmas. It was a long and tedious journey that left me with humongous, swollen ankles, but it was all worth it when we saw all those smiling faces at the airport=). We spent the first few days home with family- shopping, eating, and just catching up. Isaac made it to several Blazer games, which were big highlights for him, especially since they were on such an impressive winning streak. We also participated in the engagement of our good friends, Chad and Toni, which was very exciting. We were very eager to see the new church, Faith Center, that the family worked so hard to build this fall. What a beautiful and welcoming home for the church! We were beyond impressed with the creative design and functionality of the building- way to go guys!!! We also were thrilled to have several very nice visits with Grandpa, and we're look forward to bringing him some frosties when we are home this summer=). Unfortunately, I (Jenni) got a terrible case of the stomach flu on the 23rd that lasted until the 28th- ick! Therefore, I don't remember much about Christmas, nor do we have many photos from the holidays=(. We did attend the candlelight service on Christmas Eve, which was lovely, and I managed to stay up long enough to watch both sets of families open their gifts on Christmas Day (I was too excited to miss that!). Even though being sick was miserable, it was very comforting to be home and cuddled up with our families. Once I was back on my feet we were on the go constantly, trying to play catch up and spend as much time with everyone as we could. Every moment was well spent, and we loved seeing everyone. It was a very nice Christmas!
