New Campus???

There have been plenty of "new campus" rumors floating around, and in conjunction with recent photo evidence, it seems highly likely that ASD will in fact begin building their new campus in Al Barsha. The "official" word of a new campus hasn't been released yet, as the final financing is still being reviewed. If all goes well, the brand new ASD will be opening its doors for the '09-'10 school year. While we will miss the warm and tranquil atmosphere in Dubai's only remaining suburban area (which will all be leveled to make way for who knows what?!), we are thrilled at the possibility of cutting our commute down to 5 minutes! The new land is just on the other side of our little sky-scraperhood=). Our friend Jen lives nearby and has a fantastic view of the school's new land. She has been taking photos and keeping us up to speed on all of the changes around the site. I snagged the following photos from her... thanks Jen!

Not much happening yet, they just leveled the land... looks as though we will have a BIG campus!

The wall is up, which means construction has started, AND we have trenches! Woo hoo!
*On a side note, the large boomerang-shaped building in the background is Ski Dubai, and the skinny building in the way back is the Burj Tower (world's tallest building).
